Xi Shi was a citizen of the State of Yue during the Spring and Autumn Warring States Period, she was also one of the Four Great Beauties in Chinese history. Xi Shi's mannerisms was very attractive to other people, unfortunately her health was not good, she had an illness that caused heart pain.

One day, when Xi Shi was on the road home after washing clothes by the river, she felt a pain in her chest, so she held her hands to her chest and furrowed her brow. Dong Shi was originally very ugly in appearance, so on top of that her imitation of Xi Shi's behavior, which appeared strange, made the people feel even more repulsed by her. After the wealthy saw her, they immediately shut their doors; and the poor pulled their wives and children far away to hide from her. They all looked down on Dong Shi more than ever!
