Translation:
As the wind and mist cleared, the sky and mountains became a single color, flowing and floating, going arbitrarily to the east and the west. From Fu Yang to Tong Lu, about a hundred miles, the strange mountains and unfamiliar rivers, they are unprecedented in the world. The water being an indistinct bluish green, the bottom could be seen from thousands of feet above. Traveling fishes and small stones, a direct view of them was not obstructed. The rapid rush of water being swifter than an arrow, the fierce waves appeared to surge upward. Narrow shores and tall mountains, with trees growing everywhere, struggling upward under the extreme conditions, mutually covering remote distances, competing for height and pointing straight upwards, hundreds of thousands became mountain peaks. With pools and sharp rocks, the sounds of the rushing water could be heard. Beautiful birds sang together, the call of the birds became a rhyme. The cicada circled a thousand times without tiring, the monkeys called out a hundred times without stopping. A kite bird wishing to fly to the high heavens, gazing at the peaks calmed its heart, being entrenched in worldly affairs, looking at the valley I neglected to return home. Unruly branches concealed the sky, at daytime it appeared to be dusk; sparse branches alternately conceal and reflect, sometimes the sun could be seen.
